A shirt that stays strong even after repeated washing. I wanted to make such a shirt, so I started this business.
We produced two types of shirts: an oxford shirt and a poplin shirt. These are the most basic and common shirts, but we started this project with the aim of creating something of overwhelming quality that would surprise everyone.
Returning to the roots in pursuit of the ultimate
The company focused on an old-fashioned shuttle loom that has been in use since the company was founded. This machine is capable of weaving high-density fabric with a very nice texture, but it has the problem of producing narrow fabric widths and a high rate of defective products.
- Can we create something with stable physical properties while retaining the good parts of the shuttle?
We focused on the weaving speed of shuttle looms. Due to their structure, shuttle looms are very slow to weave. We started by slowing down the speed of the latest machines to their limits and conducting repeated test weaving.
Feeling the results, I eventually realized that by relaxing not only the speed but also the tension of the warp threads, and weaving at about 1/5 the normal speed, I could produce something of similar quality to shuttle weaving.
After that, after various adjustments such as fabric processing, the finished fabric is a completely new material that combines the texture of an old-fashioned shuttle loom with the stability of an innovative loom, making it worthy of our flagship product. We are confident that it is the best quality we can offer at the moment.
