シャトル織機とは？
シャトル織機とは、横糸（緯糸）を巻いた「シャトル」と呼ばれる舟型の部品が、機械の中を物理的に往復することで織物を作り上げる織機です。
現在主流のエアジェット織機やレピア織機とは異なり、ゆっくりと、そして時間をかけて布が織られていきます。
生産効率よりも、布の表情を大切に。
シャトル織機の生産量は、1日あたり約40メートル。
これは、最新の高速織機に比べると決して効率が良いとは言えません。
しかし、この「非効率」こそが、布に深みと豊かな風合いをもたらす最大の理由です。
ゆっくりと織り進めることで、糸にかかるテンション（張力）がやさしく、織り上がった生地には自然なふくらみと立体感が生まれます。

What is a Shuttle Loom?
A shuttle loom is a type of weaving machine in which a boat-shaped component called a shuttle, wound with weft yarn, travels back and forth through the warp threads.
Unlike modern air-jet or rapier looms, the shuttle loom weaves slowly, taking time to build each length of fabric with precision and care.
Prioritizing Texture Over Speed
A shuttle loom produces only about 40 meters of fabric per day.
Compared to today’s high-speed looms, this is far from efficient.
Yet, it is precisely this “inefficiency” that gives the fabric its rich texture and expressive depth.
The slow weaving process allows for gentle tension on the yarns, resulting in fabric with natural loft and dimensionality.
