今回ご紹介するのは、ORGANIC綿の太番手糸を使用し、スペック染による自然なムラ染め感を表現したオリジナルファブリックです。
柄はネイティブモチーフをベースにしながらも、強く民族調に寄せすぎず、日常の衣料やプロダクトに落とし込みやすいバランスを意識して開発しました。
シャツとして着たときの存在感、軽アウターとして仕立てたときの奥行き、そしてバッグやクッションなどの小物・インテリアにしたときの表情まで、幅広い用途を想定した生地です。

この生地には、ORGANIC綿の太番手糸を使用しています。
太番手糸ならではのざっくりとした存在感がありながら、綿素材らしいやわらかさも感じられるのが特徴です。細番手のきれいな生地とは異なり、糸そのもののふくらみや凹凸が表面に出ることで、カジュアルで力強い印象に仕上がっています。
生地に触れると、しっかりとした肉感があります。薄すぎず、重すぎないバランスを狙っているため、シャツ地としても使いやすく、軽い羽織ものやジャケット、ベストなどにも展開しやすい厚みです。
春・秋の軽アウターはもちろん、冬場にはインナー使いとしても存在感を出せる素材感です。着込むほどに風合いが増し、時間とともに身体や暮らしに馴染んでいくような、育てる楽しさのある生地を目指しました。
スペック染による、自然なムラ染め感
今回の大きな特徴のひとつが、スペック染を採用している点です。
スペック染とは、均一に染め切るのではなく、糸や生地の表面に自然な濃淡や粒感を持たせる染色表現です。今回の生地では、このスペック染によって、色に奥行きと自然な揺らぎを加えています。
近くで見ると、ブラック、ブラウン、ネイビーの中にもわずかなムラや粒感があり、ヴィンテージライクな空気を感じられます。一方で、柄の白場には生成りのようなやわらかさが残り、強いコントラストの中にも自然な温度感が出ています。
プリントではなく、糸の表情や織りの構造を活かした生地だからこそ、表面に奥行きがあります。引きで見ると柄のリズムが際立ち、近くで見ると糸の質感やムラ染めの表情が伝わる。そうした二層の見え方を大切にしています。
シャツから軽アウターまで使える色柄と肉感
企画段階から意識していたのは、シャツにも軽アウターにも使える生地にすることです。
ネイティブ柄の生地は、柄の強さによって用途が限られてしまうことがあります。今回は、柄のインパクトを残しながらも、色数を抑え、衣料として取り入れやすいトーンに整えました。
ブラウン系は、土っぽさと落ち着きを感じるカラーです。デニムやチノ、生成りのパンツとも相性が良く、ワークウェアやアウトドアの文脈にも自然に馴染みます。
ネイビー系は、より都会的で引き締まった印象です。シャツにしたときも派手になりすぎず、無地のアウターやニットの下に合わせたときに、程よく柄が効いてくれます。
ブラック系は、柄のコントラストが最も際立つカラーです。軽アウターやジャケットにしたときに存在感が出やすく、スタイリングの主役になる色です。
レッドを組み合わせた配色は、よりクラシックで温かみのある印象です。ブランケットやアウトドアテキスタイルのような雰囲気もあり、衣料だけでなくバッグやクッション、ラグ的な使い方にも展開しやすいカラーです。

このネイティブ柄ファブリックは、シャツ、CPOジャケット、カバーオール、ベスト、イージーパンツ、バッグ、ポーチ、クッションカバーなど、さまざまなアイテムに展開できます。
シャツにすると、1枚で主役になる柄シャツとして使えます。無地のカットソーやタートルネックの上から羽織るだけで、秋冬らしい雰囲気を出すことができます。
軽アウターにすると、素材の肉感と柄の存在感がより活きます。裏地なしの羽織り、ワークジャケット型、ノーカラージャケット、ベストなどにも相性が良い生地です。
また、厚みと柄のバランスを活かして、バッグやポーチなどの雑貨にも向いています。小さな面積でも柄が映えるため、製品のアクセント素材として使いやすいファブリックです。
インテリア用途では、クッションカバーやブランケット調のアイテムにも展開可能です。特にレッド系やブラウン系は、空間に温かみを加える素材として活用しやすいと思います。
自社工場の背景を活かしたオリジナルファブリック開発

This fabric is an original textile made with heavy-count organic cotton yarn, featuring a natural uneven dye effect created through speck dyeing.
The design is based on native-inspired motifs, but it has been carefully balanced so that it does not feel too ethnic or decorative. We developed this fabric with everyday clothing and lifestyle products in mind.

Heavy Organic Cotton Yarn with a Solid Texture
The fabric uses heavy-count organic cotton yarn.

Natural Unevenness Created by Speck Dyeing
One of the key features of this fabric is speck dyeing.

From the beginning of development, we focused on creating a fabric that could be used for both shirts and light outerwear.
Native-inspired patterns can sometimes be too strong, which limits their use. For this fabric, we kept the impact of the pattern while reducing the number of colors and adjusting the overall tone to make it easier to use in apparel.
The brown color has an earthy and calm impression. It pairs naturally with denim, chinos, and off-white pants, and works well with workwear and outdoor-inspired styling.
The navy color feels more urban and refined. Even when made into a shirt, it does not feel too loud and works well under plain outerwear or knitwear as a subtle patterned accent.
The black color has the strongest contrast and gives the pattern a clear presence. It works especially well for light jackets and outerwear, where the fabric can become the main element of the styling.
The red-based colorway has a warmer and more classic mood. It has the atmosphere of blankets and outdoor textiles, making it suitable not only for clothing but also for bags, cushions, and interior products.
Product Possibilities
This native-inspired fabric can be used for shirts, CPO jackets, coveralls, vests, easy pants, bags, pouches, cushion covers, and other textile products.
When used for shirts, it works as a statement piece on its own. Simply layering it over a plain cut-and-sew or turtleneck creates a warm autumn and winter look.
When used for light outerwear, the weight of the fabric and the presence of the pattern become even more effective. It is suitable for unlined jackets, work jacket silhouettes, collarless jackets, and vests.
The balance of thickness and pattern also makes it suitable for accessories such as bags and pouches. Even in small areas, the pattern stands out, making it easy to use as an accent material.

Original Fabric Development Based on Our Factory Background
This fabric was not created simply by applying a pattern. Its character comes from the combination of yarn, dyeing, weaving, and finishing.
By using heavy-count organic cotton yarn, we gave the fabric a natural and reliable material quality. Through speck dyeing, we added subtle uneven color movement. By adjusting the weight, we made it versatile enough to be used for both shirts and light outerwear.
